We have a 35ft corrugated hose for our central vacuum system. The hose came with a thin cloth sleeve to protect the floor and walls, but it's starting to leave dirt on the nose of the carpeted stairs when we pull the hose up - the only carpet left in the house. It's time to replace the cap. I saw this very reasonably priced quilted suitcase and wondered how something could have a 35ft zipper. Of course it is. It resembles a thin but durable quilt. We ran the hose around the house and placed it next to me to make sure I ordered the right size. Of course it did. We unzipped the well protected zipper, started at one end and in 5 minutes we were all pulled over the tube. The cap is slightly longer than our hose (it stands for "35-37 foot hoses"), and we've found that we can easily use the extra two feet if we pull on it and on one end turn a little. There is no doubt that a soft cover protects our floors, stairs and walls better than a flimsy fabric cover that comes with a tube. I'm very happy with it and hope it holds up well.
