I use this in small batches to make a record cleaning solution. The surfactant breaks the surface tension of the water, allowing it and the other cleaning chemicals I mix to get deep into the grooves and clean the record REALLY well. You can find good recipes on YouTube videos, some use isopropyl alcohol and some don't so you can choose what to use. Remember that you can use latex gloves and safety goggles when cleaning homemade records. A solution as this material can be somewhat irritating to the skin. Nothing crazy, but why take the risk? In any case, it's highly recommended that you make a record cleaning solution that you plan to use to clean your records with a vacuum tool like Vinyl Vac. Search YouTube for a link to the DiscRewind guy and find his video. For as little as $100, you can build a cleaning system that rivals prices from $500 to $1,000 and have $900 left over to buy more records.
