I am 6ft 3" and weigh over 300 pounds. I saw that this chair can hold 400 pounds and its seat width is 20.9 inches looks great. This is a very well made chair and I have no doubt that it will carry a 400 lb person, but any person of any width or height will not easily fit in this chair. The "width" measurement is actually measured from the back to the front of the chair, which in most cases will either account for the length or include the raised (metal rod reinforced) areas on the sides. These bars cut into my legs as the chair is actually only about 16 inches wide, not nearly 21. The back of the chair would be perfect for someone who is about 5ft 7 to 5ft 10" tall and a 6ft 3" tall has headrest pillows. Sits just below my neck (assuming I have a long waist). This is a great and stable chair for a medium sized person. However, it should definitely NOT be suitable for finding large/tall chairs.
