Powerful power strip with surge protection for home and office.

I mounted this extension behind the sofas. Power strips and surge protectors are two words that confuse many consumers. In many cases, people buy power strips instead of surge protectors without knowing the difference. Many people think that these two terms are interchangeable, but that's not entirely true. In comparison, a surge protector is a device that protects your electronic devices from power surges or surges. When a power surge occurs, the device cuts power to your electronics and protects them from short circuits. Splitters are units used to distribute AC power to household appliances and are fitted with circuit breakers to cut off the current in the event of an overload. An extension cord is a small, multi-outlet device that allows you to plug more than two electronic devices into a standard electrical outlet. It can also increase the range of your outlet by a few feet or so. The confusion stems from the fact that many modern power strips also have built-in surge protectors, and some don't. Not all power strips have surge protectors built in, but many do these days. Power surges are usually measured in units of energy called joules. When you look at how much protection a surge protector can provide for your electronics, it's worth paying attention to. Generally you want to find a device with at least 300 joules of protection for your expensive electronics that you are concerned about. The AXTRA surge protector features a 15 amp circuit breaker. In this surge protector, it absorbs excess current and protects your electronics from overload, while the circuit breaker simply shuts off power to your devices in response to a surge. The extension is a very nice addition to the workbench and overall I am happy with my purchase. It is very well designed and finished overall. Space in my garage is limited and I really needed the bench to sit against the back wall so I raised the bench up a bit in front. The surge protector is the perfect device to take good care of my power tools. It's designed to hold 12 devices at once, leaving plenty of room for large adapters between each outlet. This surge-protected 12-outlet power strip is great for organizing. As a friendly reminder, you should always check the amperage of your devices and refrain from using all outlets if you exceed the 15 amp maximum on this bar. It is always better to have more extension cords around the house than you think you will need, as adding an extra extension cord to an existing one (used as an extension) is not recommended as it could create a fire hazard or trip your main switch . When you like your plugs a few feet from an outlet, this extension cord features a 9-foot power cord to get you where you need to be. It is a good choice for most households for a desk, TV cabinet or kitchen countertop. For mounting options: There are 4 sets of longer screws and 4 sets of shorter screws; 2 short mounting brackets for cabinet or countertop and 2 longer mounting brackets for desk or wall mounting. Slide the bracket to each side of the extension and wall mount it horizontally or vertically.

Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
