I like this system. We've been using it for about 7 months now and it's ABSOLUTELY BEES KNEES. Other reviews said it felt too light - like "no quality" - and I bought it expecting to agree with them and dislike that detail. However, what surprised me about this monitor is that its build quality is good (and it survived my 4.5 year roll) and the light weight is a good thing rather than a bad thing: I toss it in the back pocket of my jeans the whole time. time and can get a job. The range is excellent. I can work in my big garden or basement if the baby sleeps on the second floor. The user interface is ingeniously simple. Two downsides to this otherwise outstanding product (which I highly recommend and am glad I bought): 1) It uses AA batteries. at a good price (although I should note that I use it A LOT and all my AA batteries are used in a project I made that has basically given me a lifetime supply of AA batteries, don't ask. So take that comment with a grain of salt) and 2) if you forget to plug it in at night and your batteries die, you'll be woken up by an awful low battery chirp that drives my wife crazy. Phillips: Are you reading this? If this is the case, consider replacing the low battery beep with a lighted indicator. The chirping is annoying. However, I am a SUPER PROFITABLE person.
