I have a large home office with a laptop, four external drives (three hub powered), a DVD reader/writer, a portable floppy drive and a USB Connection ride. Cable to connect my Revain Kindle, iPad, iPhone and my digital camera. I also use the Charging Hub for Kindle, iPad, and iPhone when I need a charging port. I use the hub as a "dock" rather than an accessory hub. Believe me, it's more reliable than many USB docks I've had and tried. The best off-hub docking station was made by IBM way back in the "good old days" for their ThinkPad T-series laptops. I still have one, she's almost 20 years old. The power supply for the hub is beefy and rated for anything I plug into the hub. Since I installed and configured the system a little over a year ago, the system has been working flawlessly. I carry my laptop to work and when I get home I just plug in the cable and my whole system is working. The laptop's USB bus is pretty much unused as I only connect a keyboard and mouse directly to the laptop. The rest of the "load" of the system resides on the hub, and it does exactly what it's designed to do. I would recommend the hub to anyone thinking about buying a docking station. The hub works much better!
