Review on ☕️ Braun KG7070 Burr Grinder: Premium Stainless Steel Grinding Power by Azeem Mendez

Big mistake with electric coffee grinders

I always had a Braun grinder in the 80's and 90's. (Yes, it's old.) I was a fan of their excellent modern design and it worked flawlessly. I bought this coffee grinder with warm and fluffy memories. However, as other reviewers have said (why wasn't I listening?), this machine is no mess. We have bases all over the counter and all over the sink EVERY time we use it. I can try covering the hole with my hand and tapping on ground coffee grounds, but it still explodes when I take the lid off. Even if the machine is nice to look at, the hopper is too small. Replenishment of coffee beans is required every few days compared to once a week up to 10 days with a Capresso unit replacement. And the grounds container is too big! The reservoir of the aforementioned Capresso machine was about the same size as a standard Gold coffee filter, allowing ground coffee to be poured directly into the filter. The tank on this Braun machine is too large, which exacerbates the base explosion problem. They just go everywhere, across the entire surface of the filter and then of course along the outside of the filter and into the coffee pot. We're literally scrapping this thing as we've been fighting to get it back for too long. (We've been using it for 6 months now.) I don't normally write reviews, but this product disappointed me so much that I felt the need to join the chorus in warning people about it!
