I love these salt and pepper grinders, I think I've finally found the perfect set. This is my 5th set of spice grinders (salt and pepper) in the last 5 years. I love to cook and freshly ground salt and pepper just made sense. We're older and we're very good with our things. The first set was manual - they still work but made my carpal tunnel worse. The second set was powered by Wolfgang Puck batteries ($45) and became very expensive as it replaced 6 AA batteries. The acrylic spice container also broke after 6 months. It has small 1/8" grommets to hold it on the broken case. So I bought a second set to have spares for this set. When they broke too (acrylic liners) I looked for a better solution. I decided that if I spent more money I would get a longer lasting product, which I did.The fourth set was a Cuisinart with a rechargeable stand ($75. It was a lot cheaper over time because I stopped buying batteries and the battery base gave them a neat home on my desk however the tank was small and ACRYLIC and broke again within a year we had to tape it up which looked horrible on my desk but having spent so much I was determined to justify my money and use it until it was completely dead. Also, over time the contacts on the spice grinders and battery stand stopped touching. My husband repaired them several times, bi s only one side of the base was loaded, and the last straw was that only one spice grinder was loaded. It's time to replace them. I didn't want to buy a second expensive set because. The quality was no better than WP. I finally found this set, it has a glass tank with screws (genus)! No acrylic tabs to break! And there is no charging station that stops working as they come with 2 USB chargers, one for each spice grinder. They have a ceramic grinding head (more durable) and an adjustable grinding degree. I love this set!
