These cat shelves should be very good once I have done all the work to install as required which will take a little time. . When I bought them I was hoping that they would come with brackets as shown in some of the pictures at the time of ordering but they only arrived as a shelf. I gave up on plain plastic anchors, knowing from common experience and other reviews that they were useless, and tested them with my regular 50 lb screw anchors. Our 11kg cat's first jump ripped the anchors right out of the drywall. If you take a closer look at the levers involved, it's essentially a toe lever that amplifies power at the attachment point. The base of the shelf is about 3 inches below the lowest point of contact with the wall, which increases the external force on the anchors. I'm going to build brackets to support the force from the base of the shelf to both the top and bottom of the wall. to distribute the power All in all it should work fine after I've done all the necessary support and fabrication.
