I bought these as a lighter alternative to making traditional Christmas lights. All in all they look very good and do what they are supposed to. You can buy the lubas separately, but I ended up putting the bricks in bags to make them heavier. I made 10 small sandbags for playgrounds, but when I found the bulbs got hot to the touch within an hour I stopped using sandbags due to the possibility that the bulbs could melt the plastic and pose a fire hazard. I find it interesting that the bags are not flame retardant either. It seems intuitive to me that a set like this comes with cool LED bulbs and is fire retardant. Unfortunately, no.
