Review on HH 1CB Hull Hugr Contour Fender by Pablo Rudon

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Suitable for very light use

I was very excited about these new classic 1977 '77 Arabians. Older boats don't have much storage space so the small square size makes them easy to fold and unfold . The price was right. Unfortunately, they just didn't last. I had 2 complete ruptures of the sleeve in the same number of weeks. One of them was at the tank dock where the boat admittedly reared its wake in an area where there was no wake. The socket flew out immediately. I was willing to give them a break, thinking it was just an accident. However when I arrived today on my boat which is in a very well protected harbor (where there are never waves or even wind) one of the other floors had a broken grommet. The third was half blown away. My boat is 19 feet and weighs 3,000 pounds, but that shouldn't be a big factor when moored in a very calm, calm harbor. This can be useful for light boats and ultralight boats. For "normal" boat traffic, they have a weak link and are short-lived.

Pros
  • Good value for money
Cons
