I was hesitant to buy due to some reviews. I am very happy with the purchase and the price can't be beat. The insulation was light, but I put it on first. instructions could be used. The trick is to mount the brackets to the bike first, then mount the sissy bar and rack. I already had saddlebags that were permanently mounted so I could use my old mounting bolts. I've read reviews that it doesn't fit over chrome but it will if you install the brackets first. I would definitely recommend it for the few hundred bucks you will save on a well known brand
