Size 10 fits my 8 year old perfectly. This was a replacement order as we originally received a size 5 when we ordered a 10. Definitely go up a size as it appears thin, my son usually wears a size 8 and he is thin. Great value for a Halloween costume and I would have no hesitation in ordering one for a formal event.
