Review on πŸ¦„ Black Unicorn Magnum 6" Pepper Mill by Michael Radhakrishnan

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Peppercorns will NOT fall out when held like a normal person but the adjustment screw won't stay put

I almost bought this pepper grinder because of all the warnings about accidentally opening the refill door. I had zero problems with it. Yes, the door and crusher rotate the same way - otherwise you wouldn't have anything to rotate. I've attached a video to show how easy it is. It produces an even grind and is easy to use. I'm a little overwhelmed by the amount of pepper it stores (I previously had an aquarium-style pepper grinder that held a lot more). I paid extra for durability, tired of cheaper plastic parts breaking. I'll be updating this review regularly as it gets older to let you know how it's holding up. UPDATE January 2020: After daily use for the past year, it's still working perfectly. The screw that adjusts the grind level doesn't stay where I set it the way I'd like, but I'm not too picky about that. I will update this post in a year. UPDATE August 2020: The adjusting screw has become significantly worse. Nothing prevents him from spinning after the setting. When I adjust the fine grind screw, it loosens in just 2 or 3 turns leaving a much coarser grind than I can handle. For this reason I lowered my rating to 3 stars. Even disposable plastic grinders have locks to lock the setting. Since I now have practically no way of adjusting the roughness, I finally grabbed a drop of screw lock on the adjustment screw. At least now it's locked in the subtlety I want.
