Review on GearMo USB Serial Adapter - RS232 DB-9 920K with FTDI Chip, TX/RX LED - Compatible with Windows 7, 8, and 10 by Jason Guzman

* Failed to upgrade my original due to age. It went like this for about 4 years. I bought another one that should last another 4-5 years. The cable breaks at the junction with the plastic housing. I've tried many different USB to serial adapters, not even cheap ones. Productive, Keyspan, etc. I couldn't get any of them to work with my application. This one has an FTDI chipset and works great and also has LEDs to show link and connection status. Drivers can be downloaded for both Mac and Windows. I can run this on my Mac with Windows in a virtual environment and it works without any limitations. Really very happy. I will buy another.
