I bought this mattress for my delta mini crib about 4-5 weeks ago, ironically around the time my son had a 5 month regression and this thing. saved my life haha! He sleeps 9-10 hours and wakes up once to eat (he's 6 months old) which tells me he's fine. The mattress is hard, but I wouldn't say hard. We have a mattress topper for waterproof purposes but I think he still likes it. It fits perfectly on our Delta mini mattress so he can stay in our bed a little longer before moving to his room. That being said, I really like the firmness of the mattress because it's identical to the Delta mattress I have for his regular crib, so I think it will ease his transition. All in all a great purchase.
