I bought this hat because it looked different than most Air Force veteran hats and because it looked good. I liked that it was marked "VETERAN" and not "Retired" because I wasn't a professional soldier. I proudly (USAFSS) only served a term of 3 years, 8 months and 10 years (but who was counting in the late 60's and early 70's). Also, I'm not the kind of person who wears old "clothes" on a daily basis like some people do. It's been 50 years since my time, and it's only in the last 5 years that I've "come to my senses” to openly acknowledge my ministry. This hat alone serves me well on Veterans Day when I join my fellow veterans in honoring those we have served with. As well as those who didn't make it or are no longer with us. Conclusion: This is a good hat. Buy it! Wear it with pride. There will be no regrets.
