My dwarf hamster only eats seed-like pieces of this mixture. It doesn't touch the spherical pieces at all, nor does it touch the larger chip-shaped pieces. He eats so little at a time that I don't care. I have enough bags for at least 4 months. There's also very little dust, which I've seen with other products I've tried. And less dust in the bag and less dust when the hamster eats. Some hamster food pellets will explode into dust when a hamster eats them, but the pellets they eat stay together.
