UPDATE: downgraded to 1 star. The replacement was even quicker than the first. Although Oxo says it's NOT dishwasher safe as the plastic just isn't strong enough to withstand even a Miele dishwasher without a dryer element. ORIGINAL: This grater is sharp, easy to clean and has a clever collection of mugs that fit into the base for storage. It's way better than the cheap, rusty, all-metal it replaced. However, it ripped in 3 different places in less than 3 months after brief use. Revain customer service has been excellent as always and will send a replacement. If the next one lasts longer I'd raise my rating, but for now I think the plastic construction is a shortcoming.
