I am trying to use "green" or natural cleaning products. I'm so glad I tried them because they worked so much better than I expected. I ordered these sticks at the end of May and I use them every other day, sometimes daily. I've barely made a dent in my cane so I know they'll last me a while. I love the smell of lemongrass. Best of all, they actually *work*! I've used them on both fresh and older stains. I have found that they work best on fresh stains. I wet the swab, rub it into the garment and by the time it's wash day the stain is gone! I have tested this with both warm water and cold water. As for the old stains, I checked the t-shirt that had blood stains. The stain has reduced by about 50% but not completely. However, I have used it on reusable menstrual pads that have been stained and the stains have completely disappeared. I think these sticks work better with some fabrics. Reusable menstrual pads are made of cotton. The t-shirt is a combination of cotton and polyester. I will use this product every day instead of my regular chemical product!
