Review on MICHELIN X-Ice 3 195/65 R15 95T winter by Franciszka Dbrowska ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Matches the description completely, very satisfied.

Volvo V70, III generation. 235*45 R18, replaced BF Goodrich G-Force Winter2. After them - very well. You ride calmly, your back is not wet. I would say that the model is a solid 4.5 out of 5. For our European winter, when +3 changes to -1 in a couple of hours, it's very good. And, surprisingly, she keeps the car well on the ice. Not spikes, of course, but damn it, it holds! Clings to everything you can, and holds! It's downright amazing. In a word, you can take it, but for residents of the 2022 with a normal winter, be careful when driving - these are, nevertheless, not spikes.

Pros
  • Adequately behaves in full winter conditions. It brakes well on packed snow and icy roads, although it starts off worse. Holds the car well when maneuvering (front-wheel drive). Soft to -3, then slightly dull, quite quiet up to 140 km / h on a dry or icy road. It behaves well on the water, although a little hydroplaning remains, the Alpine 5 is much better in this regard. On dry pavement - very good, but at +10 and above it really slows down worse. But, in general, the car behaves predictably, it holds up pretty well, you can safely drive. There is no rutting.
Cons
  • Noisy at speeds above 140 km / h, buzzing. On water or just a wet road above 80 km / h, it starts to hiss, although I have good sound insulation. Then, the euro label does not lie, plus one and a half to two liters to the flow. It doesn’t behave very well when it gets into deep puddles - it doesn’t seem to blow away, but it feels like contact with the road is lost. Starts worse than brakes - perhaps due to the direction of the tread pattern.
