To be honest I'm sick of this trend that the cable that goes into the jack/box is just a USB cable. I know there are advantages, but I have bricks here, cables there. Too many cables. Just make it sticky so it's no longer a problem. The old version of this fork is shorter and slimmer. Actually looks beautiful. That eyesore sticks out further than it should. Yes, it's flimsy around the plugs, but if you're buying one, you're probably plugging it into a wall and not an extension cord. Because it sticks out so far and the USB cable plugs in at the end, it can snag on furniture like beds and dressers when you're trying to store things neatly. I would argue that there will be stability issues in the base as well as loss of strength due to this design flaw.
