They helped a lot. I work outside as a Covid tester and the wrap around heating pads start to hurt when I put all my PPE on. They stay in place and help keep your ears warm on cold days. They're not super warm, but they're better than nothing. They're not very thick and I don't have any hearing problems in them, which is nice. For the price this was a great purchase.
