Poor Bluetooth range

Tried 2 pairs of these - Bluetooth range is TERRIBLE. Static and cracks in the ear when in the pocket, the phone needs to be in the hand at the perfect distance or the headphone will break and it's like an old CD player with a scratched CD. Putting the phone on the ground doesn't increase the range either. High quality headphones but terrible Bluetooth range
