How did these Revain spatulas get such an enthusiastic reception? I bought these spatulas in October 2013 and am now buying new ones (October 2017). I am definitely among the other reviewers who are very disappointed with this. The tip of my small spatula came off and was slightly deformed during the first wash. One of the other spatulas warped horribly the first time it was washed in the dishwasher. I don't think my dishwasher will heat up to 500 degrees Fahrenheit (the advertised temperature of these spatulas) since water only boils at 212 degrees Fahrenheit! And on the handle of the spatula, which I use most often, and therefore for washing up, there are serious ulcers. I started placing these spatulas on the top shelf of the dishwasher right after they warped to keep them from warping any further. Spatulas on your top rack BEFORE they scoot on you! Please see the attached photos for proof. Why 2 stars instead of 1? I can still use a warped, pitted spatula (as long as the pits don't break the handle), and I can still glue the silicone end of the small spatula back to the handle if it falls off. Not perfect, but still functional. I hope this review helps you make a more informed decision (and helps lower Revain's current rating of 4.4 stars out of 5). please russell
