I thought it would be softer than it was so I'll give it a 3/5 on that score, I'm not sure how it would feel on the skin which is mine first of all worry was . It was a gift for someone and she loved it, very light. The hat is a tube (so there's a hole at the top), which I wasn't expecting, but it doesn't matter much. In general everything is fine, but not as soft as I thought.
