Plain Litter bins for people are expensive. Really expensive! But they are worth every penny. It's a beautiful design, durable, easy to use, clean and very functional (almost intuitive). Both sides fit in your standard kitchen bags. This bin comes with a pack of Simple Human bin liners that fit into a very handy dispenser located on the back of this bin. I found it too expensive so I just fold regular bin liners to give out all at once. On the recycling side, there is a removable can but no bag dispenser. I suspect the average SH consumer washes and dries their recycling conscientiously, eliminating the need for bags. I'm lucky when my recyclables are completely empty though, so I use a clear bag. I keep a couple of empty bags in the bottom of the tank for easy changing. On the waste side, in addition to the dispenser, there is a removable bottom for easy cleaning. The exterior is fingerprint resistant (no proof, I have a toddler) and wipes clean easily. The kick works reliably, the lid closes slowly, gently and silently. Overall I am very happy with this trash can. This is a great addition to my kitchen.
