You may not know you need it, but you do.
They still smell great after a week of daily use, remove even the most stubborn dirt with ease and don't scratch utensils or surfaces I've used them on. I even bought some for my parents. You may not be the type of person to worry about and your old sponges clean or spread disease and dirt like I do, but once you can feel the difference the sponge looks clean and with every use smells, old sponges appear as bad as use. Your hand is like toilet paper. Expect old-fashioned sponges to disappear quickly as they look obscene next to them.
