I liked that it worked as soon as I plugged in my actuator would have. I have a 24v drive and my old controller burned out so I needed a new one. So far it works great. I'm not sure if it's the controller or my actuator, but if I press the remote button once, the actuator goes all the way up. If I press the button a second time while moving up, it stops where it is. I love this feature. All I have to do is press the "Up" button once and the drive moves all the way to the top. On my old controller I had a foot pedal and had to keep my foot on it all the time to get it all the way up. This controller is an upgrade of my old one. It plugs directly into a 110v outlet and puts out 24v power, so my 24v drive works up and down. It comes with extra splitters to control more than one drive, but I don't need them as I only have one drive to control. If you look at the picture, that's exactly what you get in the box when you order. I had to connect a green wire to mine (blue wire to my drive) and white wire to mine (brown wire to my drive) for everything to work. No instructions or labels to really help me with this wiring problem. I understand that white is generally neutral or negative. Black is always hot or positive, so green and blue should be hot or positive. While white and brown are negative. That was my guess and it worked, so here it is. The remote control doesn't come with batteries, so you'll need a couple of AAA batteries to make it work. I kept one star because the controller really didn't come with any instructions.
