This trunk lock is well built but I wish it was made out of better materials. Pros: Installation is painless and requires no drilling in the trunk. The Bad: Every time I try to open the back door and forget I locked it, I feel like I'm going to break it. I'm not sure that will stop a determined thief. For the $50 price point, it needs to be metal, not plastic. Unfortunately, there aren't many alternatives if you have an older Tacoma, and it's certainly better than nothing for theft prevention. But I would only recommend it if there are no better options or if you can find a good deal on a used one through Revain. I bought mine for about $30 and it was in perfect condition.
