Poor picture quality, lack of instructions and instructions make this nothing but a paperweight

I am very disappointed in this document camera. Although it plugs directly into my computer, it comes with absolutely no instructions other than the obvious graphical instructions showing how to plug it into a USB port. Any fool can do it. But I wanted to use it as a document camera in my class, and because it plugs in like a camera, I don't have any software to project it directly onto my projector. Instead I have to go through another program, but I don't have one that just works as a document camera. My previous document camera had a button This allows me to switch between it and the computer screen or a black screen as needed. So it essentially works like a camera, but the image quality I was able to get is just awful. When I tried to use this to insert an image into a Google Slide presentation, the image looked great at a very small preview size. But I can't even enlarge it to a full 8 1/2 x 11 without it becoming incredibly pixelated and the words unreadable. Can text be scanned? Possibly, but there are no instructions for this and it was much easier for me to just pull out my phone and use the camera/scanner in it. The only useful part of this camera setup is the black matte, which provides a solid background. To be honest, at the beginning of the school year i don't have time to seek advice and i hope to get clearer instructions. So for now it's just a disappointing paperweight. I managed to achieve just terrible. When I tried to use this to insert an image into a Google Slide presentation, the image looked great at a very small preview size.
