Review on Pureburg Replacement Wrapping Pre Filters Honeywell by Chris Cruz

First off, this replacement filter had a slight rubbery smell when first unpacked, but the smell dissipated after a few minutes. And it was very nice that the carbon pre-filter was the perfect size and didn't need to be adjusted to fit properly, unlike my previous replacement filter from another company which is no longer available from Revain. Wildfires are burning in my area and this filter does a good job of absorbing and removing those smoke odors. Now the (perhaps) not so good part: for some reason this filter seems to mechanically interact with the airflow to the fan to create some sort of interference that causes the air to come out in gusts rather than a continuous stream, resulting in a slightly more noise and vibration than the previous filter. I'm not sure if it's due to the internal structure of the filter drum itself or perhaps a small size issue that allows leakage through the seals. This is a rather subtle matter and not a complete deal breaker. When I run the fan on high it seems to level off but I rarely use high speed as it is very noisy at high speed. I gave this filter a three star rating, but would like to upgrade my rating if another device fixes the issue. . This may have been dropped during transportation or handling and easily bent or crushed.
