I can't laugh at ladies who buy more shoes than they will ever need because I do the same with helmets. I'm never "happy" with what's on my head. Being a safe NUT I always have one (or two) on the bike and they get used to it. This one fits the bill in so many ways! First, the look of the attack plane is just COOL! I know it's a bit "new" and not for everyone, but I like it. The visor (must be clear and tinted) then "snaps" into the lower half of the face shield, forming a secure wind seal. When lowered, it reduces ambient noise by 1/2. Also, this is NOT a full face helmet, but it has many of its advantages. Basically, it blocks a lot of wind noise and blocks any oncoming debris. I use a SENA voice/music system and the lower bezel makes the sound much clearer and the windscreen keeps the mic out of the wind. The almost weightless protective mask offers protection against wind and noise at the level of a full-face helmet, but does not add any additional weight. The helmet is relatively light, it is COMFORTABLE. I use size XL. The ear test plates that contain the straps are soft and smooth, making them easy and comfortable to put on. I cut a small slit in the cheek pads and put my SENA speakers in. They are perfect for busking! I bought two of these helmets - one black and one white. I look forward to many long journeys.
