Review on Toyo Observe G3-Ice 285/60 R18 120T winter by Janis Kronbergs ᠌

There are pros and cons, think before buying.

On ice, the 185/65/r14 tires on the Skoda Fabia 2022 start off rather well (while the spikes are still in place), but they slow down significantly. continuous ABS trips as soon as there is any moisture on the asphalt or snow on the ice. The removal of the spikes, however, is the primary source of the problem. After two seasons, only 5% of the spikes on the rear wheels fell off, whereas the front axle lost more than half of its spikes. The most interesting thing is that after the first winter, 20% of the studs flew off the front axle, and when installed in the next winter and operation, another 30% flew out in almost a week, and with a gap of 50% of the initial amount, the wife drives, complaining about the constant operation of "ABS." In other words, the studs are falling off at an alarming rate. In the meantime, her sister was transferred to an Opel Corsa Nokian Nordman 4, where all of the spikes are there, it has improved braking, and the price has not changed. Because of this, you should go for Nokian whenever you have the chance to take it!

Pros
  • On the threshing floor as well as in the deep snow, it rows quite effectively.
Cons
  • It slows down significantly on wet asphalt, which is, well, the most important thing to know. After having been in use for two seasons, the front wheels no longer have any spikes that are 50% deep.
