Beautiful and durable. I was hesitant to buy after reading some of the reviews. I understand the concern about tiny gaps, but someone mentioned that some inserts are missing. I tried this and it got a size 9 shoe rack instead of a size 15 shoe rack. For me it's worth losing these seats because the large ones are roomy enough for my husband's size 11 shoes. In the end, 3 small and 6 large stands were created. I use the smaller ones for my daughter's children's shoes. Of course, you can always keep all 15 and put an adult boot on each stand. Easy to assemble. I know this because I've never assembled furniture before and I managed it easily. Annoyingly, the cabinets slide into the shelf and aren't attached to anything. Annoying because maybe if you take your shoes off the booths will pop out too. I wish they had developed this part better. I mean they give you 20 nails to hold the back but real cabs don't have reinforcements to hold it in place. Stupid. Anyhow, I like it. I got the cherry color because I read espresso looks black. The cherry color is nice, not super dark and not light. I like that our shoes are no longer on the doorstep. Good deal for the price.
