At first I was reluctant to buy this cat tower and another smaller one for $89 for my only cat. When I saw another product compared to this tower in person, the difference in quality and size was huge. I was more than impressed with my purchase and much happier after a personal comparison of what I thought was the closest competitor. This is a piece of furniture that will stand in your home for years due to the excellent build quality and I would like to say to everyone reading this review that if you are in doubt about which towers to buy, invest in this model. and you will be more than satisfied. When I was looking, it was the more expensive option for me, but it was one of my best investments. The tower arrived quickly and in a much smaller package than expected. Well packaged and compact, it was easy to transport from my post office to my apartment. It has some weight, but nothing that requires assistance for the vast majority of people. It can be about 40 pounds in total. All necessary parts and tools were included in the package. The only issue I had was that one of the two bells didn't ring when it arrived, seemed to be missing a rattling element, but for me it was very minor and an easy fix. It looks like it was made exactly that way and there were no problems with delivery or transport. When disassembling the package, I recommend sorting the parts as indicated in the assembly guide in your area. This will greatly facilitate the construction process. You must build the tower yourself, but all necessary parts and an Allen key must be included to assemble it. The instructions are mainly based on pictures and letters showing which part needs to be connected where and are very easy to follow. I will tell anyone building a tower to make sure you have the right posts in the right places between each step. Some of them are similar in length and can easily be accidentally donned. This process will most likely take 1.5 to 2 hours if you take your time and back everything up properly. It's important to get it right the first time, it determines the stability of your tower. I'm pretty tight on my screws. It's not very difficult to complete, but it definitely takes time and effort. Don't expect to build this tower in 20 minutes. However, the time spent is worth it. The design of the tower itself is excellent. The posts are very tightly wrapped with thin sisal rope/cord and secured against falling out with many staples. For some reason my cat never scratches sisal poles, it's weird but I knew about it when approaching this purchase. I think this rope will hold up very well to frequent use over time, I just can't tell from personal experience. The fabric is nice and plush by feline standards. My cat is about 13 pounds at the time of this review and has had the tower for several months now. The two compartments for your cat to hide in are perfect for my little pal and there is plenty of room inside to move around. It gets nice and cozy if he lies inside for a while. He can easily feed a 2nd cat in the same closet/apartment. The walls of the storage compartments are made of fabric supported by tuck-in bars, but it's still quite thick. The round pouches/baskets at the end are good, my cat rolls between them. He prefers the larger one as the lower one tends to sag a bit from his body weight due to the lower support, but it's nothing serious. However, his favorite spots are the top two ledges of the tower. The bases have an incredibly soft and plush lining at the bottom for your cat to lie on and a thick, soft lining around the edges that my cat loves. It sits there more often than anywhere else, and the extra support on the lower perch makes it incredibly durable. The hammock on the bottom is hardly used by my cat, but that may be because it's against the wall in my small apartment. Toys often end up there in its place. The hole in the platform has some utility when my cat is playing or chasing his toys. The tower itself is surprisingly stable. My cat is constantly jumping off the floor onto the lowest perch and back and I never see her rock or roll. The tower comes with a strap for attachment/wall mounting, presumably to give stability to heavier cats. I haven't had to use this on my 13 lb cat and after a few months of constant use I see almost no outlet in the tower. Very strong and stable construction that I can easily find suitable for large cats with a wall anchor if stability is ever an issue. It wasn't for me. I cannot recommend this tower enough. This was a luxury purchase for me because I wanted something nice for my cat that would last a while and it exceeded my expectations. This is one of my favorite purchases as I live alone and every day I see how much my little pal appreciates it. I have included some photos of the completed tower with my review. My cat is usually much more photogenic, but when I went to take a picture of him and write a review, he looked like he had memories of the war in all the photos. Basically, if you can excuse his face, he's here to show the proportions that fit other people's cats. Sorry for the catnip on the tower, I rub the spots he doesn't use that often to lure him around the tower. I would recommend this to anyone who has a cat who is a bit suspicious of them or doesn't seem like they like them very much at first glance, some cats are crazy about new things! A little catnip on your tower when you first complete it will help your cat feel more comfortable with it and more apt to explore all of her little areas on the tower. It will also make them want to do it all over again! This is also my first review of Revain and I hope some of my ideas can be helpful. It was a purchase I was so excited and happy with and it met all my expectations and then a few more. I was so pleased that it finally encouraged me to reconsider some of these products I bought! If anyone has doubts about which tower to buy, they should take this tower!
