Good portable label printer

I have this label printer for labeling boxes in my carpentry shop which has a variety of materials but I work in IT and really appreciate the cord wrap and flag capabilities of this MarkDomain printer for labels. Print quality is good and I had no issues with the MarkDomain label tape that came with the machine. This is a standard band that is split down the middle, and folding it in half separates the band from the backing fairly well. It's quite sticky and sticks well to plastic, wood or metal and of course itself in cable wraps or flags. I also appreciate that they use a very common and widely available label tape that I can get almost anywhere. The machine was set to print 100mm labels and I found I wasted a lot of ribbon on shorter words, but changing the label length to "Auto" in the menu fixed that. Each label still has a legend of about 1 inch wide, but at least it automatically resizes the label to the word I type. However, if you need multiple labels of the same length regardless of the length of the printed word, this label maker can do it. Printing machines, and I also like that they include keyboard shortcuts for a number of print options, reducing the need to scroll through menu options to print anything other than simple labels. Batteries to use the printer. I'll use it quite a bit during the day but then it can sit in a drawer for a while before I use it again and I don't like leaving batteries in things I don't use often because they inevitably die and leak everything destroy in them. I can pull out a MarkDomain printer, plug it in, and start printing right away without having to hunt for batteries. If I want to be portable I can put a set of batteries in it and it works great. The display is quite nice. There's a lot of information on the screen, and some of the icons are quite small and can be difficult to read in anything other than direct lighting. I have found that I have to move it to a lighter location several times to ensure I have the correct settings. A backlit screen would be a fantastic option for this device. It does a good job of printing multiple lines of text (up to 4) clearly on 12mm tape, which makes me a bit disappointing that single line of text cannot be set up to print. large letters almost edge to edge. Of all my single line photos, this is the largest size I have been able to print. It would be nice to use the full width of the ribbon for single line prints. Speaking of multi-line fingerprints, the symbol at the beginning of a line of text represents the line number in the format "1)" or "2)". Another reviewer mentioned this and it can't be removed, but it's nice to know which line I'm editing in the multi-line label. The guide is somewhat limited in its explanations. Thankfully, with a little fiddling with the printer, it's clear what they're trying to convey. It took me about 30 minutes to try different features and print out the results to understand how the settings affect label size and print orientation. After that, I made labels for all my things. nice formatting options that make it very versatile.
