Just ordered and received two of these. Used immediately for omelettes and DH was very happy with the ease of use. Slipping the rounded end under the product first gives you a long diagonal space to grab the soft product, making it easier to flip without damaging it. or a thick spatula. It looked a little "wiry" and I thought it was flimsy, but it doesn't seem flexible or "weak" for weights up to the weight of a three-egg omelet or an 8-inch pancake. The metal part is deeper at the bottom than the top and sides and is built into a wooden handle and secured with two rivets and I don't think there will be any problems if it bends or falls apart at the above food weight. For example, if the top was 3/4 inch deep instead of barely 1/4 inch, it would probably be easier to slide under both the food and the handle to better clean the top edge. There may be a technical reason for its design, not sure. I use a brush to quickly remove stuck food without touching my fingers or nails. Lots of metal edges and although they are completely smooth and flat with no protrusions, they still need to be treated gently by running fingers over them when cleaning manually. After reading reviews from other users I know that for fear of rusting I need to keep them clean without soaking them for too long. I bought two so we could alternate them and they wouldn't get too worn out. Hope they last long. All in all a great price for a good solid product with a great design for this type of use.
