Do not throw away the original packaging.

. The games started, froze, and when I quit and restarted them, they froze on the title screen and I got an error message about corrupted game data. Reformatting the drive didn't help. Installing games directly to the Xbox hard drive worked fine after that, so it's not an Xbox issue. Warranty returns require the original packaging (serial numbers, etc.) so unfortunately I wasted $90.
