Review on 🎧 Sena SRL 2 Bluetooth Motorcycle Communication System - Compatible with Shoei GT-Air 2 Helmet by Jerry Amos

Why are we skipping this company?

After so many years, why do we still ignore this company for their crappy gear? Bad design, unintuitive design, bad speakers. Let's deal with it. Sluggish Speakers - Sena has always shipped the lowest quality speakers with their systems. They are suitable for vocal reproduction, e.g. B. Podcast, intercom (although volume is debatable), but are you trying to play music? And you get the thinnest, poppiest, breathiest sound you've heard since small diode speakers were invented. Ironically, you get the best sound when you wear earplugs. Ear tips reduce external vibration and interference, while foam tips allow sound transmission to the drum kit. I'm tired of denying this to Sena - it's not a cheap thing - put in better speakers. Your customers don't have to look for aftermarket speakers that sound better. Not intuitive/poor design. Have we forgotten how difficult it was then or before to connect intercoms? Sena has taken small steps to make intercom pairing easier (it's about time), but it still doesn't make things easier. Devices like 10S, 20S and 30K are better to use as they have more controls. The buttons on the SRL's control box (I love that it's "built into the Shoei") are so tiny and so close together that pressing any combination of buttons with your bare hand becomes difficult and a lot less frustrating. hand in a glove. And because they've squeezed into a small space, you get 3 buttons that let you do about 100 different things. Do you want to activate Siri? Press the center button for 3 seconds with a gloved index finger while operating the motorcycle ------Set - OK. About 20 minutes to make everything look perfect and get a clear idea of the inner workings of the SRL and the Shoei helmet. I wouldn't say this device is "integrated," but it's about as bug-free as you can get from Sena. Note that due to the design of the helmet, you will still see the wire no matter how hard you push it in, but it doesn't interfere or affect performance in any way. As expected, the instructions were terrible. And you're going to take out a piece of padding and replace it with a speaker, which I'm not sure won't affect the helmet's airflow if you remove that piece, but you don't have a choice. Want to add sound capabilities to your Shoei helmet without having to use your own headphones? Well then this is your best option. The fact is that SRL has a low value. I'd whine for $100 less, but at nearly $300, I'm not going to give in to Sena's "good enough" design mantra that they've carried for so long. Am I expecting too much? No, other users expect too little.
