Bought as a remote control for Surface Pro 2 which I use as HTPC. It is well suited for this type of use. It's not 100% perfect, but there are a few very small quirks, which of course aren't too bad, especially considering the low price. It's all plastic, very light, to the point where it could be dismissed as "cheap" if it doesn't work properly. " But it works very well. The whole mechanism for switching between mouse and keyboard works almost perfectly. I think once or twice it got confused and I just kept flipping it over and over and everything was fine. Keys in a non-standard layout, so yes, it takes a little getting used to. Might be a problem if you're serious about typing. But for use as an HTPC remote (typing into search boxes on streaming sites, etc.) it works great. The buttons have a nice feel, more confidence with each keypress Part of the mouse works great Only complaint is that the double tap and hold to drag action is a little finicky at times Battery life is good not great I have other major bluetooth ones Remote Control Keyboards Lights that can last for months on a charge with moderate use, that's not the case with this one, just turn it off when you don't use it. One more small nuance to keep in mind is that the recognition of another keyboard may be affected when the dongle is connected. This applies to Surface 2 Pro and Type Cover. Again, no big deal, just FYI.
