There was a DNS error, but this is an EZ fix. Great printer.

Set up with Windows 10 and installed once, it works with Linux/Xubuntu 16.04. The only problem I had was a DNS error in the web connection for the E-Print/Instant Ink plan. I had to use a web browser to go to the printer's local area network (LAN) IP address and change the DNS. How to fix a DNS error. On the printer, press Home / Network / Wireless / View Network Details to find the LAN IP address. Open a web browser and enter the printer's LAN IP address in the address bar. IPโ€ click on "Suggest a manual IP addressโ€. Then enable "Manual DNS Server" and change the 1st DNS to "8.8.8.8" and the 2nd to "8.8.4.4" or whichever DNS you want to use. Click Apply. . Turn off the printer, unplug the power cord, and wait 30 seconds. Then turn it back on. Press the ePrint icon on the front of the printer, select "Accept" and print the "Code" to complete setup on the HP website. ----------- ------------------ The printer is a bit bulky but looks very nice and the printouts are of good quality. The printer prints with fairly thick ink. The cheap ยฃ20 paper I had on hand was too damp from very colorful prints and smeared easily. I bought 24 lb paper and it works better but is still a little wet. I see that this printer is consuming ink. Overall I am very happy with the printer. Will be updated if there are issues with the HP plan.
