Compared to Crest or Aquacrud toothpastes this is definitely a better product (in my opinion of course). The dentist recommended not using brands with microbeads that can accelerate gum recession. Also, microbeads are terrible for the planet. The reason I'm pinning these 3 stars is because they don't stay constant. When the product is new and freshly opened, the toothpaste feels oxygenated and thick like regular toothpaste. After opening and using for a few days, the paste loses its effervescent, oxygenated form and becomes watery. I'm assuming it still works since I don't have cavities, but boy is water paste definitely hard to use. You should have the perfect amount of time to apply the paste to your brush and bring the brush to your mouth before even wetting it so the paste doesn't fall straight off the brush into the sink. If the paste retained its consistency after a few days of use, it would definitely be a 5 star product.
