I originally bought the Fifine K670 because of all the positive reviews, but after using it in Final Cut Pro XI I found the volume to be too low, to be able to be used. Even with the Fifine mic and FCPX gain set to maximum, I still need to increase the audio gain a bit after scoring. I went back to research and stumbled across Samson which also had great reviews. So I sent the Fifine back and ordered this mic. When I first connected Samson and used it in FCPX I was blown away. Even with just 25% mic gain, the FCPX voiceover was loud enough that no additional amplification was needed when posting. The Samson mic is three times the price, but in terms of features and the fact that it works great, this mic is worth the money. And considering the professional quality of this Samson G-Track Pro, its great build and rugged design, this thing is a great investment. The reason I brought this up is because I wanted to mount it on a Blue Compass Premium Tube style on my desk and the mic and pop filter limit is 2.4 pounds so I was concerned. I couldn't find any details just about the weight of the microphone. I took a risk and it worked. I have a Blue Compass arm mic and it works great with no weight. This is an amazing facility that will last a long time.
