At first, like some people, I thought the velcro straps were too short for my chair's armrests, but after a minute of observation, I realized you'd have to pull to close the Buckle. First separate the piece and thread the long end under the armrest of the chair and twist the velcro once, thread through the buckle and attach to the fluffy end. this is bad design. It attaches securely to my chair and is comfortable, but I wish the velcro straps were better constructed and a little longer as the length for me was barely enough for the ends to stick together, so some chairs with thicker armrests don't work with this tray. it is also possible that there are protective stickers made of soft rubber on the screw for fastening to the table, so that the plastic does not rub directly on the table. Assembly issues aside, it works and the quality is pretty much what you'll get. with the amount you spend on this item. Overall it's good enough for my purpose (needs a tray when composing in front of my digital piano) the tops, armrest and mouse tray are comfortable)
