There were no directions with this toy. To be honest, I should not need directions. It should be self explanatory. It has two buttons marked on the front with music emblems. After contacting the seller I have found out how this little thing works. The button on the right is for all the songs, which I figured out on my own. Every time you push it another song comes on. Mixed Spanish and English. The sound quality is horrible. The left button is for recording and play back, which I would have never figured out without the seller telling me. Push and hold until you hear it beep and keep holding to record, let go when done recording. Push and let go quickly to play back. My granddaughter did like the dancing lights. It has blinking colored lights when it dances. Not my best buy.
