We were desperately looking for a new perch

Our 26 year old gray parrot (Socrates) is very picky about everything from food to toys. Most of the time, when you add something new for a change, she completely ignores it. Or, if you're a very pushy owner and put it in a corner, she might try six months after you put something in her cage. It only took her two days to try out this new perch. We have five different perches in her cage at different levels so she can change her mind at will. When a perch is worn out, we try to find another, another (variety is the spice of life) to perhaps pique their curiosity. This one seems to be her favorite now. As a side note, we named her Socrates because we were told she was male when we bought it. However, males do not lay eggs! We kept her name because her vocabulary is so strong and we didn't want to confuse her with gendered bullshit.

Pros
  • Alright!
Cons
  • I really don't like it, everything is fine
