First of all, I have no experience with cars. I was able to install this remote start by following the simple online instructions I found. It took 30 minutes in total. The reviews are correct it doesn't have much range but it works great with my wife's 2015 Highlander and does the job we bought it for over the winter and hot summer months of keeping the car warm and cool. It works with all factory remote controls. We went to our local Toyota dealership and it took them half an hour to program the unit, which we were not charged for as it was such a simple process. The remote start ECU must be registered in your vehicle's computer. This process is known as the handshake process.
