the tester does it right. It can test all your 6/12V main batteries. As you can see, my battery is in good condition, but it's getting weaker. This can also test your alternator and starter motor. You'd be surprised how often these little gadgets save the day. It has a built in multimeter and can test your battery under load. It logs the results. So if you ever need to go back and check or show someone you can, but as with anything, this device has its downsides. Many people will complain about beeps, but be aware that you can turn them off. However, my biggest complaint would be the quick test, which only lets you put Ah batteries in instead of cold crank amps. I didn't see anything in the settings to change this, but it doesn't matter as you can just go downstairs to check in or out of the car. Overall worth buying.
