Replaced on first filter change
Totally useless when I first tried to change the filter it was so tight I couldn't move the housing. I've been using this type of filter for many years, so I'm aware of the need to lubricate the gasket before installing the housing. Cases are always difficult to remove, but the "wrench" / tool that comes with this unit only slides down about halfway down the case, requiring you to apply significant torque to the unit trying to pry it off. The tool really needs to slide all the way up to have any hope of loosening it.
